TELEC certification introduction
The "Radio Law" requires the type approval of designated radio equipment (that is, the certification of compliance with technical regulations). TELEC certification is mandatory, and the certification body is a registered certification body recognized by MIC in the scope of designated radio equipment. TELEC (Telecom Engineering Center) is the main registered certification body for conformity certification of radio equipment in Japan. Wireless products exported to Japan (Bluetooth products, mobile phones, WIFI routers, drones, etc.) need to be certified by TELEC. TELEC is also called MIC certification in Japan. TELEC is one of the designated certification bodies of MIC, so it is collectively called TELEC certification.
TELEC certification type
TELEC certification includes test certification (Test Certification) and type certification (Type Certification).
Test certification is to verify each equipment unit, and the certification is only valid for each equipment unit that has been verified;
Type certification refers to the verification of samples of a batch of equipment of the same design and manufacture. The certification is valid for the batch of equipment, but if the design or manufacturing of the equipment is changed, the equipment will need to be re-certified.
