GB 1002-2024 "Types, basic parameters and dimensions of single-phase plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes" replaces GB/T 1002-2021 "Types, basic parameters and dimensions of single-phase plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes".
◆ It is mandatory to add insulation sheath to the plug:
The standard puts forward that attention should be paid to plug safety, and it is mandatory to add insulation sheath to the plug to avoid direct contact with the plug metal plug when plugging and unplugging the plug by hand, which greatly improves the safety when plugging and unplugging the plug with electricity.

GB 2099.7-2024
GB 2099.7-2024 Safety Technical Specification for Extension Cords and Sockets for Household and Similar Uses replaces GB/T 2099.7-2015 Plug and Sockets for Household and Similar Uses Part 2-7: Special Requirements for Extension Cords and Sockets.
◆ The protection function requirements of ordinary extension cord sockets have been increased, and ordinary extension cord sockets (including mobile sockets) with 4 or more positions should be equipped with current protection devices.
◆ Requirements for extension cord sockets installed on furniture or desktop and corresponding test methods have been added;
◆ Requirements and corresponding test methods for extension cord sockets with coupler incoming lines have been added;
◆ Add two types of outdoor sockets:
1. Add electric bicycle extension cord charging socket: it is required to have waterproof and overcharge prevention functions, so as to avoid electric bicycle outdoor charging encountering rain or accidental wading, electric leakage and short circuit, and avoid electric fire caused by overcharge.
2. Add electric vehicle discharge socket: It is required to have safety functions such as waterproof, anti-rolling, vibration, etc., so as to avoid short circuit caused by leakage of electric vehicle discharge socket due to water, and further improve the safety and stability of equipment.
